Memory Match

Flip two cards a turn. Fewer moves is a better score, so look before you click.

About Memory Match

A grid of face-down cards, symbols you can tell apart at a glance, and a move counter that won't let you kid yourself about how well you played. Flip two. If they match they stay up. If they don't, they turn back over, and it comes down to whether you were actually paying attention.

Here is the part nobody mentions: memory games are won by being organised, not by having a good memory. Strong players flip in a fixed order, left to right, row by row, so every new card lands in a spot they can picture again later. Clicking wherever feels faster and costs you roughly double the moves.

There are three sizes. The 4x3 grid is a warm-up you can finish in half a minute. The 4x4 is the normal round. The 6x4, at twenty-four cards, is where being organised starts to pay off and a clean run feels like you earned it. Moves and time are both tracked, and your best for each size is saved.

Getting better at Memory Match

  • Turn over new cards in the same order every time so positions are easy to recall.
  • Say the symbol and where it is to yourself. Saying it beats looking at it.
  • Once you know a pair, clear it. Saving it for later rarely works out.
